Director's Statement
Doppelgänger came from a place of a small group of friends just having pure fun. Graham Uhelski and I took two cameras from our job at a film production agency and meet up with another friend at this long abandoned train tunnel. Yes, we were trespassing.
What was born from this pure collaboration was this twisting nightmare short film that till this day is one of the most requested short films for both screenings and festivals. We won several awards with this film and it gave me the bug to continue making more thriller and horror films.
This experience is something I continue to look fondly on and remains a constant reminder that if we the filmmakers are having fun making it, our audience is probably having fun watching it.
